Description
Jim Bussolati Carl Karnish and Vance Sutton attended the VFW Washington Conference in Washington DC. Also in atttendance were Debbie Sutton and Kenna Karnish from the post's auxiliary. There we joined the rest of the LA delegation and national delegation to address The Senate Armed Forces Committee during a testimony by our CIC Al Lipphardt. We also met with our State Representative Julia Letlow to discuss issues important to Veterans and Veterans health. Although we were there for 5 days my estimate is that we spent about 8 hrs. actually working with legislators. Miles traveled and dollars spent are for Jim Bussolati. Carl and Vance spent money as well and traveled just as far. Six key priorities were addressed: Unaddressed Toxic Exposures Transition from Service Exploring Alternative PTSD Treatments Cracking down on Predatory Claims Companies GI Bill Parity and Retirement and Military Personnel.
