Sharee Arends
State Junior Vice Commander -

Sharee' Arends is a Bronze Legacy Life Member of the Barksdale Air Force Base, Johnny-Welch Memorial Post 5951, Bossier City, Louisiana. Sharee' is currently serving as the State Junior Vice Commander. She is also a Member of the Military Order of the Cooties.

Sharee' has been a member of VFW since 2010 while still on active duty. She has remained a faithful member of Post 5951. Upon her retirement after 20 years in the Air Force, she returned and has since served multiple positions within the Post, District and the Department. Sharee' has served as the Post Chaplain, Post Jr. Vice Commander, Post Sr. Vice Commander, and currently Post Commander. She has also served as All-American District Commander 2020-2021.

Sharee' is the daughter of two Vietnam Navy Veterans and has a family background of many other Veterans. She served in the United States Air Force from 1998-2018, she served in Kuwait, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan. Sharee's awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal with

Sharee' married her husband, Max Arends IV in Klamath Falls, Oregon in 2017. Combined they have 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys; and 1 granddaughter. Max is a member of VFW Auxiliary 5951.
